We were introduced to Halo Project Management by our architect and we asked them to build us an extension. We had had work done before by a builder but liked the way that HALO managed the project and also liked the way they kept us up to date with the finances. This helped us to keep an eye on the budget and the project came in less than the price many of the builders had quoted. We saved nearly £3,000 on VAT alone.
We used the Halo PMS building angels service when our previous builder let us down badly. Halo organized the trades, sourced the materials and managed to get the project back on track. We would have no hesitation in recommending HALO PMS to anyone.
Until I discovered Halo PMS on this site, I hadn’t considered using a Project Manager for this job. Having done so, I was generally very pleased with the outcome. The tradesmen Neil hired were up to a good standard and when one failed to do his work to the right standard, someone else was quickly engaged to put it right! Financially it worked out well with many areas done without the need for VAT. All costs and invoices were dealt with in a very efficient way and at each stage, you could see what the financial position was. The benefit of this system is that each part of the work is done by someone who is an expert at the job. Dealings with the building regs and sorting out various unexpected disasters were dealt with very well. As in all building projects, there were a few occasions when the process slowed down for unforeseen circumstances but overall, I would say it was a worthwhile exercise which took away many potential worries.
